Passports for every pack you build
When finished packs leave your line under your own name, you are their manufacturer and the passport is yours. When you build private-label packs, your customer brand is responsible and will ask you for the data. IonPass covers both.
- Made in Europe
- Signups stored in the EU
Your name or theirs?
Whose name is on the finished pack decides who is responsible for its passport.
Packs under your name
- You are the manufacturer
- You create the passport for every pack
- You print the QR label at the end of the line
Private-label packs
- Your customer brand is the manufacturer
- They need your model data and serial numbers
- With their written authorisation, you can create the passports for them
Either way, every finished pack placed on the EU market from 18 February 2027 needs its own passport.
How IonPass helps assemblers
One model, many customers
Keep the model data once and publish passports under your own name or your customer’s brand.
Serial numbers from your line
Import serial numbers per batch, or send them through the API.
Labels at the end of the line
Print the QR label for each pack as it is finished.
See what your passport would look like
Fill in one of your batteries, see its passport and scan it with your phone.
Questions from assemblers
Do cells and modules need a passport?
No. The passport is for the finished battery placed on the market. Cell and module makers can supply data, but they generally have no passport of their own for those parts.
Can we manage passports for our customers?
Yes. With their written authorisation you can create and update the passports for them, while they stay responsible.
Which plan fits an assembler?
Usually Growth: up to 15 battery models, unlimited batteries and an API for serial numbers.
